Art has always been in my life. Being raised in the open spaces of southern California has shown me the expanse and variation of form that nature can provide. I currently reside here in the Northwest with my wife and three children.
I started drawing at an early age in life. I was known to climb down under the sink and draw the pipes that I found there. I now continue to draw and paint, and still learn about new aspects of art.
In my high school years, art classes were a major part of schooling for me. Since then, I am primarily a self taught artist, trying this or that and working with those things which interest me. I balance my art activities with family and my occupation at the Red Cross. Many members of my immediate and extended family share my love of art, and this allows me the opportunity to share my enthusiasm for art with them.
I attend various workshops and take classes which teach different aspects of drawing or painting of which I am interested in learning. I continuously have a variety projects going in different stages of development.
I have participated in recent shows, including the “Art Splash” in Tualatin. I have been awarded several recognitions for my work throughout the years. The most recent award was the Best of Show at the Washington County Fair.
The subject matter I prefer is landscapes and natural scenes. One of my most pleasurable activities is exploring new places, looking for new subject matter, with a camera in hand. I hope you enjoy my paintings, and that they bring you as much pleasure and enjoyment as they have brought me.
