Attend Volunteer Orientation

Step 1 Step 2 Step 4

Volunteer orientation is a fun and interactive introduction to the American Red Cross. You’ll learn about our history, mission, how we help others and our Fundamental Principles which guide our behavior as Red Cross Volunteers.

After your successful volunteer interview you will be invited to attend volunteer orientation and complete a free confidential background check before beginning to help others.

A self-study Volunteer Orientation is available online to be used only as directed by your volunteer coordinator. Please contact your local Office of Volunteer Services for details.

"I am new to the country so I started to volunteer at The American Red Cross to gain work experience. After being here for a short time I soon realized that the most positive and friendly people work and volunteer at the American Red Cross.

It is clear to see why everyone here has this mind-frame, they are truly saving lives. I couldn’t have picked a better place to volunteer."

HR Intern
